Job Description

Manager, Group Underwriting 

  • Location: Edmonton, Alberta

  • Status: Full-Time

  • Salary Scale: $100,000.00 to $120,000.00

     

    Do you have 5+ years of experience in the health, life and disability insurance field? Are you looking to take that next step in your career? Our client, a recognized top employer in Edmonton is seeking a Manager, Group Underwriting to join their team. Your duties will include: providing leadership and guidance to the Group Underwriting team, ensuring development and understanding around information regarding renewal rate increases, benefit changes and underwriting limits, oversee the setting of rates and underwriting limits for new groups, as well as providing strategic and operational planning at corporate and departmental levels.     Skills/Experience:

    The ideal Manager, Group Underwriting will have a minimum of 5+ years of experience in the health, life and disability insurance field. You will have completed a degree in Mathematics or Commerce and either have an accounting designation or an actuarial educational background. You will also have a history of strong leadership with the ability to communicate well with peers and superiors. This role carries a high degree of responsibility.
