Senior Tax Analyst - Contract
ROLE DESCRIPTION:
CompassTAX is currently seeking to fill a short term employee (3 to 4 months) position for a Senior Tax Analyst. This position will appeal to those looking to specialize in tax.
RESPONSIBILITIES:

Focus on expatriate clients in preparing Canadian and United States non-resident personal tax returns while building client relationships;

Preparation of various Non-Resident Forms and applications;

Research various income tax issues;

Review and process Notices of Assessment;
-
Personal tax planning;
-
Liaise with clients;
-
Review of personal tax returns dependent on experience;

Supervision/mentoring of junior staff members;
-
Depending upon experience, assist with the preparation of Notice to Reader engagements, Canadian Partnership and Trust returns and related tax filings.
REQUIREMENTS:

2 to 4 years of public practice accounting experience, including personal tax preparation experience;

An accounting designation or working towards the completion of a designation;

Exposure to US personal tax would be an asset, but not required;

Excellent computer skills;

Well-developed interpersonal along with excellent written and verbal communication skills;

Ability to contribute to team effort, as well as work independently with efficiency and accuracy;

Excellent time management and prioritization skills;
- Strong desire to excel in an interesting work environment.
