Reporting to the Director, Cost & Inventory, the Supervisor/Senior Accountant, Inventory & Cost Management (one position, placement of successful candidate will depend on skills and experience) is the super user responsible for supporting our 16 operating sites and Corporate office on the accounting for the work order costing, material and supply (M&S) inventory, and procurement modules in alignment with the company’s corporate wide business processes. The incumbent is responsible for the troubleshooting of system issues and works closely with the Business Process Improvement group to manage the design, development, implementation, testing, migration, and communication to users of any enhancements to the system or processes. The incumbent is the Finance Administrator for the Oracle Business Intelligence Enterprise Edition (OBIEE), develops, maintains, and trains finance users on financial reporting and KPIs, and is the first point of contact for finance site personnel for troubleshooting finance related OBIEE performance and reporting issues. The incumbent is the Finance representative that works with the Procurement group to manage the Corporate Purchasing Categories and manages changes to accounting for our procurement and M&S inventory warehouse issuances, and ensures the M&S subsystems reconcile with the GL.
The incumbent also provides adhoc reporting requirements, and assistance and coverage to the product costing group as required.
The successful candidate will hold a degree in business administration or commerce from an accredited university, supplemented with a Chartered Professional Accountants (CPA) designation. This position requires a minimum of 4-6 years of relevant experience in management accounting, or a combination of 10 years of finance experience and post-secondary education. Additionally, experience with Oracle Enterprise Asset Management, Inventory, Purchasing, Payables, Projects, and General Ledger, Oracle Business Intelligence Analytics would be a valuable asset.
The successful candidate will have the ability to think strategically with confidence and speed in execution. Strong process-orientated, analytical, numerical and reasoning abilities will also be necessary. The incumbent must be able to adjust to rapid changes within the business, and successfully manage multiple end user issues with a collaborative style. It will be essential for the candidate to have superior problem-solving skills, the capability to adapt and be flexible, and to develop innovative concepts and techniques in order to perform out-of-scope duties to get tasks done. The successful candidate will have a strong work ethic and be a high-energy, motivated self-starter who exhibits excellent organizational, time management, and people management skills. This position requires the individual to have a flexible travel schedule, and to manage virtual teams located in multiple geographies. Advanced expertise in Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint and other MS Office applications is also a requirement.
