Internal Control Analyst, Accounting

Reporting to the Manager, Internal Controls Compliance, the Internal Control Analyst, Accounting will be an integral part of a team responsible for planning, executing and reporting results of audit procedures.  These procedures primarily relate to our evaluation of the effectiveness of internal controls over financial reporting as required by securities authorities as well as other audit projects.  The position will assist in providing leadership on effective and efficient internal controls and control environment.  Travel will be a requirement 20 to 30 percent of the time, primarily in the second through fourth quarters of the calendar year.

Candidates will have a professional accounting designation (CA, CGA, CMA) with at least five years’ experience in either auditing or in an area related to internal controls.  Experience in auditing compliance with or development of internal controls will be considered a significant asset.  Candidates must be able to effectively manage multiple projects and possess superior interpersonal, analytical, planning and written and verbal communication skills.  The ability to work well in a collaborative team environment and communicate effectively with all levels of the organization is required.  Previous experience in mining, manufacturing or chemicals industry will be considered an asset.

The successful candidate may be required to undergo a background check.  All safety sensitive positions require a substance test in accordance with PotashCorp policy.
