Job Description

Inventory Control Specialist 


  • Location: Edmonton, Alberta
  • Status: Full-Time
  • Salary: $55,000.00


Our client on the Southside (Edmonton) is looking for an Inventory Control Specialist to join its team in a full-time position.


As an Inventory Control Specialist, you will be responsible for the all inventory costing and reporting functions for the company’s food & beverage and finance department, thus it is imperative that you have 3 or more years of related inventory experience. In addition, the position will build relationships with operational management personnel in a team-based organization for a number of Alberta locations.

This is a great opportunity for a candidate with a post-secondary Diploma/Degree in inventory and/or costing management in addition to 3 or more years of experience with working with computerized inventory, accounting, sales and purchasing systems.


Reporting to the Controller, the Inventory Control Specialist is to be responsible for all areas of inventory costing including:


  • inventory analysis;
  • development and implementation of inventory control processes and procedures;
  • coordination and management of physical inventory counts;
  • maintenance and ensuring the accuracy of product cost standards;
  • and special projects.


We are seeking an Inventory Control Specialist who is a team-oriented individual with excellent analytical, project management, communication and interpersonal skills. An individual with POS and inventory/purchasing module software is considered a great fit for this role. You are comfortable communicating and interacting with a variety of functional backgrounds and levels within a forward looking team-oriented organization committed to value creation.


Please note that regular travel is required with this role. The availability to accept travel is required.
