Job Description

Controller - Seeking a Manager from the Big 4! 

  • Location: Edmonton, Alberta

  • Status: Full-Time

  • Salary Scale: $95,000.00 to $110,000.00


    Our client, a growing group of companies providing industrial construction and maintenance services to clients across Western Canada is seeking a Controller. The successful candidate will hold a professional accounting designation and have 3+ years’ experience in a financial acting role, 2+ years of which are in a senior financial leadership position. Strong critical thinking, problem solving, organizational, interpersonal and analytical skills combined with experience in a financial and management reporting role with excellent supervisory, management and team building skills are required. Strong financial modelling with MS Excel and SAP system implementation and conversion experience will ensure your success in this role.


    Are you an accounting professional looking to further your experience in an industrial construction and maintenance environment? You will blend your strong financial reporting and analysis, knowledge of IFRS, consolidation, budgeting and forecasting and financial systems conversion experience to be a key resource for the CFO, operations management and accounting staff. Specific responsibilities will include management and supervision of the operational accounting group, preparation of month end financial statements and working paper files, documentation and testing of internal controls over financial reporting, consolidation and analysis of financial results, ad-hoc management reporting, budgeting and forecasting, and liaison to external auditors.
