The principal role of the Finance & Audit Committee is to ensure the intergrity of the financial planning and financial reporting processes, financial controls and financial policies, procedures and processes of SCMA Alberta. The Committee also provides oversight of fiscal management and guidance to those responsible for the association's day to day operations and to confirm for the board and the membership, through meetings with the auditor and SCMA Alberta Management staff, that the audited financial statements present fairly in all material respects the financial position of SCMA Alberta at the fiscal year end.
To be considered as members of the Committee, you will be: financially literate, experience with budget planning and review for an organization or business unit, experience with financial controls, policies and procedures as it would relate to a not-for-profit association, a recognized accounting designation or experience at a managerial level will be considered an asset.

The SCMA Alberta Nominating Committee along with the Treasurer will conduct telephone interviews with only those candidates selected to determine suitability for the Finance & Audit Committee.
