  FINANCE & SYSTEMS DIRECTOR

As a member of the strategic leadership team for the Town of Okotoks, you will provide financial leadership and direction for the Corporation and policy recommendations and advice to Council. We look to this position to articulate and implement financial strategies for the corporation using modern financial systems management & administration philosophies. You provide long range financial planning and financial analysis of business cases. You represent the Town as the CFO in dealings with government agencies, other external agencies, the external auditor and the public. Internally, you oversee Financial Services staff, Accounting Manager and our Information and Business Solutions Manager.

The ideal candidate will have CA, CGA or CMA designation along with an MBA or a degree in commerce plus 10 years experience in a senior financial management role, preferably in the public sector. Exceptional knowledge of current financial practices, proven leadership & management skills are necessary, as well as strong public relations, written & interpersonal communication skills.
