Finance Director, Global Supply Chain

Reporting to the Vice President, Global Markets & Supply Chain, the Finance Director, Global Supply Chain will work closely with the President, Global Supply Chain as well as the fleet, land-based operations, and business excellence teams. A critical member of the finance team, you are responsible for providing direction, strengthening processes, and reporting for Clearwater’s global supply chain (GSC). You will mentor, coach, and develop the GSC finance team while supporting the safety, quality, service, and cost pillars of the GSC strategy. As the leader of the financial planning and forecasting for GSC, you will help determine appropriate key performance measurements and lead cost management processes. You will also lead the on-going review and analysis of all financial practices and processes to ensure efficiency and accuracy and make recommendations for enhanced cost and quality control measures. Through business case development and due diligence procedures, you will support M&A endeavours and manage special projects, as required. As a strategic partner with the GSC group, you are responsible for providing regular updates and reports to the senior leadership team on the progress toward established goals and maintain a strong commitment to the company’s vision and objectives.

As the ideal candidate, you have a professional accounting designation and a post-secondary degree, combined with exceptional financial skills and at least 10 years of experience within a manufacturing or processing environment. Known for questioning the status quo, your pursuit of increased efficiencies is persistent and infectious, as you lead a team who shares your desire to seek continuous improvements. Deeply experienced in cost accounting, you expertly modify financial processes to reflect best practices and you have a detailed knowledge of standard costs and variance analysis as well as competence in implementing and reporting on business excellence, procurement, and quality programs. Your strong business acumen ensures you are comfortable operating at both a strategic and tactical level and your curiosity drives you to understand all facets of the business and work effectively with all internal and external stakeholders. You are results driven and ambitious while remaining humble and principled and your sense of humor allows you to thrive in a collaborative environment. Your interpersonal and financial skillset will allow you to become a respected colleague and advisor to the GSC leadership team and to make a meaningful contribution to the continued growth and success of Clearwater.
