Financial Analyst

Alta Genetics Inc. has an immediate opening for the position of Financial Analyst. 

The role will be part of the Finance department, and the position will report into the Senior Controller. The Financial Analyst will be responsible for the following:

• Preparation of monthly and annual financial statements of 4 companies, including interpreting results, comparing performance with forecasts and budgets
• Provide additional oversight to the activities of a cross functional finance team
• Assist with the preparation of management reports, including budgeting and forecasting
• Cash flow projections
• Tax return completion
• Preparation of working papers to support external audits
• Special projects relating to acquisitions or integration
• Evaluating and updating internal audit controls
• Assessing internal processes and develop recommendations for process improvements

Skills and Qualifications

• Must possess a CPA designation or equivalent
• Candidate should have approximately five years of relevant, post-designation accounting experience
• Experience with ERP systems (JDE /SAP) preferred
• Ideal candidate must demonstrate excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills, including ability to effectively communicate with internal and external customers
• Must be able to work under pressure and meet deadlines, while maintaining a positive attitude and providing exemplary customer service
• Ability to work independently and to carry out assignments to completion within parameters of instructions given, prescribed routines, and standard accepted practice
• Must be able to work under pressure of multiple demands
• Willingness to Travel
