The Senior Manager, Revenue and Reporting supports the Executive Director, Revenue and Reporting in the development and delivery of strategic advice on fiscal policy and processes to the Minister, Deputy Minister and Treasury Board Committee.

 

The position compiles Government of Alberta (GoA) financial data to prepare fiscal outlooks for government planning purposes and uses strong facilitation and analytical skills to give advice on policy implications and legislation to Senior Officials, the Deputy Minister and Assistant Deputy Ministers. The Senior Manager assists in evaluating emerging economic and fiscal issues, provides strategic input into briefings, communication materials and public fiscal reports, and develops research and analysis on current and emerging fiscal issues. The Senior Manager works closely with colleagues from other ministries at the Executive Director and Assistant Deputy Minister levels to research and reach resolution on sensitive and urgent financial issues.

 

Salary: $3,352.75 - $4,574.56 bi-weekly ($87,506.78 - $119,396.01 annually). Closing Date: July 12, 2017. Job ID #1043124

 

Qualifications:  A degree in Economics, Business Administration or a field related to the position. A minimum of six years of progressively responsible experience in public finance and/or accounting, working with budget processes and systems. Proven experience building a culture of client service excellence as well as working effectively with senior management and other staff members. Must have advanced communication skills to build partnerships, negotiate sensitive issues, and facilitate decision-making with internal and external stakeholders holding varying perspectives and priorities.

 

Equivalencies of education and experience may be considered.

 

Candidates with lesser qualifications may be considered at a lower classification and salary.
