Methanex is highly regarded for its commitment to developing and promoting its staff. Due to an internal promotion, Methanex is now recruiting a new Manager, Corporate Reporting to join a dedicated, talented and high-performing finance team.
Reporting to the Corporate Controller, the Manager, Corporate Reporting is responsible for managing the global consolidation and financial reporting processes which result in the production of all internal and external financial reports of the Company. The Corporate Reporting group is responsible for delivering accurate, timely and useful financial reporting to external stakeholders (shareholders) and to internal stakeholders (senior management).
The ideal candidate is a CPA with superior interpersonal skills and financial reporting expertise acquired from a large, complex, publicly traded company, preferably in a commodity or resource business with global operations. Alternatively, he/she could have acquired similar experience as a Senior Manager within a large, public accounting firm, ideally supporting large clients with parallels to Methanex. A mix of industry and public accounting experience would be preferred.
This role will be based out of the corporate head office in downtown Vancouver, British Columbia.
