Alberta Printmakers (A/P) is a non-profit, artist-run centre founded in 1989 in Calgary, Alberta, Canada. The organization’s goals are to increase public awareness of print media, to engage a diverse audience, to provide resources for the artistic community and production facilities for printmaking.

A/P has an open membership, and is governed by a volunteer board of directors. Management and administration of A/P’s activities are the responsibilities of its Directors, who reach out to volunteers in accomplishing A/P’s goals.

A/P operates a fully functional and equipped, communal print shop for renting members practicing printmaking. A/P also operates a gallery space that is nestled within the print shop, and offers Carfac fees to exhibiting artists working within print media. A/P organizes print workshops and hosts residency and summer student programs.

Job Description

The Treasurer of Alberta Printmakers shall be a member of the Executive Committee.

The Treasurer shall :
1) oversee the financial functioning of A/P and provide regular reports to the Board on its financial state,
2) keep the financial records for A/P,
3) with the assistance of the Finance Committee develop annual budgets for presentation to the Board,
4) chair or co-chair the Finance Committee,
5) act as a signing officer for financial transactions,
6) act as liaison between the auditor, booker keeper and the Board, and
7) ensure an annual financial audit is completed in a timely manner.
