Our partner is an innovative organisation that establishes data- driven systems to improve the health and wellbeing of disadvantaged communities in Zambia.
Their founders previously worked on an independent health project where they realised the usefulness of collecting meaningful data to better inform the government on when and where disease occurs and help them develop targeted interventions.
Initially, they designed and scaled a low- cost decentralised surveillance system that collects timely, spatial data and helps the government better target malaria interventions. More recently, they are looking at sanitation and also delivering training on using management information systems.
They have requested the support of an AfID volunteer to help develop their financial management systems and train local staff. They feel that there are some basic procedures that they are spending too much time on and would like you to review their processes and establish whether the inefficiencies are because of their system or the skillset of local staff. You will then provide support in streamlining processes and mentoring local staff. They would also like support in making the most out of Quickbooks.
Our partner have a small budget to contribute towards your travel costs, they will provide accommodation and meals in a family homestay.
