Job Description


  • Oversee the preparation and distribution of monthly financial statements and reports.

  • Oversee and provide leadership to the annual budget process including issuing guidelines and procedures, training staff, auditing, overseeing data input, preparing reports, and examining all qualitative and quantitative aspects of the budget.

  • Assess financial processes and controls across the Association providing recommendations on continuous improvements.

  • Manages the year end audit including preparing and reviewing year end audit working papers and year-end financial statements.

  • Manages the Annual Charity Information Return (T3010).

  • Track and report on capital assets and leases.

  • Coordinate cash flow reporting

  • Supervise a team

  • Create partnerships with General Managers and branch administration staff to ensure an efficient use of Association resources and ensure consistency and accuracy among branches

  • Manages compliance with our partners (e.g. City of Calgary, Donors, Sponsors)

  • Assist branches by supporting the controlling and monitoring of revenue, expenses, and branch operations to ensure efficient use of Association funds.

  • Initiate and participate in projects for the development of appropriate controlling/monitoring tool to keep senior management better informed.

  • Accept a variety of special assignments requested by the CFO and the President and CEO.
