Mosaic Capital Corporation is looking for a Financial Analyst to support the Manager, Financial Reporting. The successful candidate will have experience working with multi-branch operations, excellent interpersonal skills and an ability to work with a wide range of individuals, issues and businesses. This individual will possess a passion for learning and will deal with a wide range of internal and external reporting issues. He or she will need able to operate in a complex dynamic environment and be able to manage multiple simultaneous initiatives and priorities.

Financial Analyst

 

Role

 

Reporting to the Manager, Financial Reporting (indirectly to the Operations Controller), the Financial Analyst is responsible for a number deliverables within Mosaic’s internal management and external financial reporting. 

Responsibilities

 

Internal Reporting

  • Involved with managing (including improving current processes and reporting) various recurring reporting requirements

    • Cash flows – 13 week rolling forecast

    • Management package - monthly

    • Lender covenant compliance - quarterly

Public Reporting

  • Assist with the preparation of public company quarterly and annual consolidated financial statements and MD&A

Reporting and Liaison with Primary Stakeholder

  • Supporting financial reporting liaison with major institutional shareholder

  • Support integration with stakeholder’s global reporting infrastructure

  • Responsible for completing the quarterly reporting within OneStream

  • Other responsibilities as assigned

Key Qualifications

  • CPA - CA, CGA, CMA

  • Significant experience in complex financial reporting environment

  • Demonstrated ability to streamline / automate processes and implement efficiencies related to both external and internal reporting

  • Experience with MS NAV and report writers (Jet Reports or equivalent) a significant advantage

  • Advance MS Excel a must

  • Strong working knowledge of IFRS

  • Strong communication skills

  • Public company and private equity experience an asset

  • Excellent organizational and project development skills

  • High energy level and aptitude for problem solving
