Our client, an Edmonton-based leader in the heavy construction industry, is looking for a visionary CFO to complement and support a dynamic senior leadership team, as they continue to grow their organization throughout Western Canada.

You have spent a great deal of your career in the construction industry.  As an adept strategic planner, you have the ability to do modeling for strategy alternatives, and find nuances that cut to the heart of issues and opportunities. 

Further, you can easily translate strategies into actions that will impact managers of various departments.  Financial implementation and tracking is key to any initiative.  But of course, you already know this. You are comfortable working with other leaders to facilitate the implementation of complex strategies, making them easy for managers to incorporate into their working teams, for maximum results.

You are also a masterful negotiator and skilled accounting practitioner. You powerfully deliver your budgets & forecasts, and can easily manoeuver to get the best out of an ERP system.  Participating in the active and ongoing risk assessment and management including insurance, bonding and contract negotiation/management, is a key strength for you.

As for staff, you understand that along with growth in revenues comes the growth of a team.  You’ve had this experience as you’ve helped other companies with the unique changes that occur as you move through $100M and beyond.
