In this strategic role, you will provide leadership in preparing government’s accountability documents such as, Consolidated Financial Statements, the Report of Vendor Payments (Blue Book), Grant disclosure and the Report of Selected Payments to MLAs. You will provide senior decision makers with relevant and timely corporate financial information through the development and implementation of corporate processes, policies and governance to support government’s financial system. You will be the Division lead supporting the implementation of the new Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) system and the application of the chart of accounts across government’s reporting systems. Experience in leading significant change would be an asset. You will work with the Office of the Auditor General to provide corporate level assistance. As well, you will collaborate with Senior Financial Officers from across Government of Alberta ministries to provide input into projects, resources for working groups and ongoing strategic advice related to financial information.
Your background includes extensive senior leadership experience with related advanced finance knowledge and experience in accounting, financial reporting, financial management and financial policy. Significant experience and strengths in leading teams, developing relationships, and working collaboratively with stakeholders is required. Knowledge of government financial systems and procedures would be an asset. A university degree in accounting or a related field is preferred and an accounting designation is required. This Executive Manager position offers a salary range of $125,318 - $164,691 (bi-weekly $4,801.47 - $6,301.03). Final candidates will be required to undergo a security screening.
