Our partner utilizes the power of media and communication to help reduce poverty and support people in understanding their rights. Their aim is to inform, connect and empower people around the world.
They produce radio and television programmes, social media content, mobile phone services and enable face to face dialogue to build knowledge, and bring about shifts in attitudes, in areas such as governance and rights, health and humanitarian emergencies.
They are looking for a number of volunteers over a 12-month period from May/June 2018 to spend 1 to 2 months in approximately 12 of their offices across Africa and Asia. Locations include Sierra Leone, Zambia, Tanzania, Kenya, Ethiopia, Nepal, Cambodia, Myanmar and Bangladesh. The focus of each assignment will be on the training, mentoring and capacity building of local finance staff.
Our partner will cover the cost of flights, accommodation, visa and a monthly stipend to cover living costs. The volunteers would be supported by a team based in London and there would also be a 1-week induction in London beforehand.
