Financial Analyst

 

Reporting to the Vice President of Finance, the Financial Analyst will provide financial insights, supporting all business Units and functions. He or she will conduct financial analyses to identify risks and opportunities, develop KPIs, ensure accurate and timely production of forecasts, and closely monitor overall performance relative to plan. The scope of this role includes, but is not limited to, the following:

 

MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES:

 

  • Have a direct impact to the business through analysis of financial information, business operations, trends, costs, and revenues;
  • “Big picture” thinker with a strong attention to detail, able to assist with improving efficiencies and profitability of the business; 
  • Have the ability and intuition to foresee trends and react accordingly in a timely manner; 
  • Be able to perform ad hoc analysis on the fly.
  • Partner and collaborate with management teams to gather, analyze, and prepare recommendations regarding financial plans, operating forecasts and other analytical projects;
  • Facilitate the development of a management reporting framework to support the growth of the Company and its strategic and operational goals, including the design of new reports to manage the business more effectively;
  • Oversee the development and maintenance of financial models, including sensitivity analyses, around internal and external factors, to support the achievement of overall business objectives;
  • Assist in the development of annual and long-term financial plans, including participation in the design of the annual business planning framework;
  • Assist in the development of annual corporate and departmental budgets, and drive accountability by monitoring adherence to approved budgets;
  • Oversee analyses in areas such as budgets, forecasts, financial plans, cash flow projections, and business forecasts;

 

 

JOB REQUIREMENTS:

 

  • Minimum 3 years of experience in FP&A, preferably in Retail, Manufacturing or Consumer Packaged Goods company;
  • CPA Accounting designation
  • Superior knowledge of Excel and analytical reporting tools;
  • Extensive experience building financial models;
  • Demonstrated ability to quickly adapt; maintain focus and a high degree of accuracy while working with complex data in an environment of ever-changing deadlines, priorities and requirements;
  • Strong business acumen and ability to gain a deep understanding of total business operations;
  • Excellent communication and organizational skills with attention to detail;
  • Proven ability to work collaboratively in a team environment and collaborate on projects.
