Cost Accountant

Our South Edmonton client is searching for a Cost Accountant to join their team.  Our client is a large North American oil & gas drilling supply manufacturer that attracts only top talent to join their growing team.  As the successful Cost Accountant, you will use your strong analytical skills to analyze job costing rates, variances and margins.  The Cost Accountant role is also responsible for maintaining job costing policies and procedures, recommending implementations and assisting with ad hoc accounting work.  The right candidates will be well versed in P&L, burden rates and inventory turns.

The ideal Cost Accountant will have demonstrated experience analyzing job cost rates, variances and margins and preparing weekly, monthly and annual reports.  All Cost Accountant applicants will also have post-secondary coursework in accounting and excellent knowledge of cost accounting.  All Cost Accountant applicants must have direct manufacturing experience.  Working knowledge of QuickBooks and Dynamics is an asset.
