It is within this new vision that the CFO will operate a critical business partner to achieve Vancity’s growth.
Reporting to the President and Chief Executive Officer, the Chief Financial Officer (CFO) leads Vancity’s financial strategy and ensures the organization has the financial insight and discipline to achieve sustainable growth and earnings that support the achievement of business goals. The CFO oversees finance, treasury, financial modelling & forecasting and the analytics COE. The CFO focuses on Vancity’s long term value creation and ensures compliance with financial regulations and standards. The CFO Chairs the Asset & Liability Committee and is also CFO of Vancouver Community Investment Bank.
The ideal candidate brings a track record of success as CFO or other senior finance leader in a regulated, financial services organization. Experienced leading significant change, including bettering finance and treasury processes, the preferred candidate has a reputation as a business partner, capable of elevating the overall business. Experience driving innovation and being an inspirational and visible team leader is required; experience working with Boards of Directors is ideal.
Vancity’s head office is situated on the territory of the Musqueam, Squamish and Tsleil-Waututh Nations in Vancouver, British Columbia. The expected base salary range for this role is $300-400k plus bonuses.
