McMan Youth, Family and Community Services Association is searching for a Director of Finance to join our senior leadership team. This opportunity will be a great fit for a candidate with specialized experience in financial management, well versed in technology, finance systems and change management, who can easily foster positive relationships with key stakeholders.

What you’ll do:
Reporting to the Executive Director, the Director of Finance will play a critical role in ensuring the organization’s success by overseeing all financial activities and providing guidance to the Senior Managers and focuses on the future direction of finance for the organization, revenue generation, monitoring the current financial health of the organization and future oriented budgeting and forecasting for all areas of the organization.
This position oversees finance, accounting, facilities management, technology (IT, cybersecurity), and infrastructure and asset management.
Key areas of focus will include:
- Lead financial oversight, including budgeting, forecasting, and financial reporting, ensuring compliance with GAAP and regulatory requirements.
- Participated in strategic planning and operational management as a key member of the executive leadership team.
- Manage cash flow, prepare forecasts, and support annual audits and financial reporting to the Executive Director.
- Collaborate with program directors on budget preparation and funding applications to support organizational goals.
- Develop and maintain effective facilities and capital asset management strategies, ensuring responsible allocation and maintenance.
- Provide strategic direction for IT and cybersecurity initiatives, aligning technology goals with organizational objectives.
- Foster a culture of accountability and continuous improvement across all areas of responsibility.
What you bring:
- Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance or business administration and a professional accounting designation (CPA) – an MBA would be an asset.
- 10+ years in a finance or accounting environment with progressive leadership roles – experience with multi-jurisdictional reporting requirements is a plus.
- Deep knowledge and understanding of the not-for-profit sector preferred.
- Strong working knowledge of GAAP, audits, and regulatory requirements in finance.
- Demonstrated experience in leading and implementing strategic financial initiatives and projects of varied scopes and significance, utilizing sound project management and change management principles.
- Effective communication and problem-solving skills with a strong focus on advanced analytical and organizational abilities, capable of managing multiple priorities effectively.
- Proven interpersonal and leadership abilities, adept at fostering and maintaining relationships with diverse stakeholders.
- Extensive experience in managing and analyzing financial data, interpreting findings, communicating analysis and results, and providing strategic recommendations based on insights.
- Ability to design and implement strategic initiatives to drive organizational success.

The salary range for this position is $120,224 to $143553.70 annually commensurate with education and experience; extended benefits are effective on date of hire, STD/LTD and pension benefits are effective after six months.
