District Controller

As Corporate Controller, you will be responsible for assisting, advising, and monitoring Local Housing Organizations in developing and managing their annual operating budgets.

 

You will also be responsible for:

  • Financial, Human Resource, and Administrative Affairs of Housing NWT's Sahtu District
  • the management of financial systems,
  • safeguarding corporate assets
  • preparing, issuing, distributing financial reports
  • maintaining internal financial controls
  • ensuring effective financial management processes and practices are maintained
  • providing training, development, and support to Corporate and Local Housing Organization staff

 

To be successful in this role, you would typically need:

  • A professional accounting designation - i.e.: CGA, CMA, CA,
  • Three (3) to four (4) years of working experience in Financial Management, and
  • Two (2) years of Supervisory experience.
