Corporate Accountant

Southern Alberta-based Ossa Terra Ltd., an earthworks and excavation company, is seeking a full-time experienced Corporate Accountant to join our dynamic team.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage all accounting activities, including the general ledger, payroll, and accounts payable/receivable.
  • Analyze financial performance and recommend cost-saving improvements.
  • Prepare federal and provincial filings and reporting.
  • Compile and present monthly financial statements.
  • Complete year-end close processes.
  • Oversee day-to-day bookkeeping for the company.
  • Develop and deliver management reports.
  • Maintain accurate job costing for contracts.

 

What We Offer:

  • Competitive Salary: $70,000 – $85,000, commensurate with experience.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
  • CPA designation is required.
  • Construction industry experience is highly valued.
  • Proficiency in cost accounting and tax reporting.
  • Advanced knowledge of accounting software (QuickBooks Desktop).
  • 5+ years of accounting experience with a strong understanding of AP to AR processes.
  • Exceptional analytical skills and attention to detail.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work independently while thriving as part of a team.

 

Location:

  • This is an in-person role based in Southern Alberta.
