- Compilation engagements
- Review engagements
- Financial statement analysis
- Corporate tax returns

- Case Study and Memo Writing: Able to draft detailed and relevant memos and case studies tailored to the needs of various users, showcasing an ability to communicate complex issues simply and clearly.
- Effective Questioning: Able to formulate insightful, relevant questions that demonstrate a deep understanding of accounting and business issues.
- Strong Foundation in Financial Concepts:
- Balance Sheet Fundamentals: Must demonstrate a clear understanding of balance sheet concepts and have the ability to ask high-level questions such as whether an asset should be capitalized or the identification of liabilities.
- Assurance Experience:
- Variance Analysis and Analytics: Experience with variance analysis and the ability to perform financial statement assertions, walkthroughs, and document conversations.
- Research Skills:
- Database Familiarity: Comfortable using professional databases such as the CPA Handbook, CCH, tax databases, and Google to research relevant issues.
- 7. Field Work Experience
- Client Premises Exposure: The candidate should be comfortable working on client sites, performing fieldwork independently.
- Client-Facing Role: Able to be sent out to clients to handle fieldwork directly, rather than requiring supervision or oversight.
Ideal Candidate Profile:
- Public Practice Experience: 2 - 5 years of relevant experience in public accounting, ideally having worked in a client-facing capacity with exposure to assurance, financial reporting, and client communications.
- Strong Technical Knowledge: Solid grasp of accounting principles, assurance practices, and the ability to use research tools effectively.
- Proactive Problem Solver: Must be someone who thrives on problem-solving and can independently manage and resolve issues that arise during engagements.
- Client-Focused: Able to take on the role of "go-to" person for clients and demonstrate an ability to manage client relationships and expectations.
