Municipal Internship Program - Accounting/Finance Stream
Overview: Join us for an 18-month paid internship designed for recent graduates eager to explore municipal government within small and medium-sized municipalities in Alberta. As an Accounting/Finance intern, you'll receive comprehensive training, mentorship, and hands-on experience to become a future leader in public service.

Successful candidates for the Finance/Accounting stream are driven problem solvers with strong analytical skills and effective communication abilities. This internship offers the opportunity to explore every facet of municipal operations, fostering a deep understanding of how local governments function and how they can best serve their communities.
What You'll Do:
- Gain insight into municipal accounting and finance, covering the full cycle from budgeting to audit preparation.
- Participate in budget discussions, prepare financial reports, process payroll and accounts, and support procurement initiatives.
- Gain insights by engaging with municipal departments that support Finance/Accounting activities.
