Finance Director

Responsibilities include:

-          Preparation of annual program budgets and budgets for project proposals.

-          Monthly preparation of financial statements

-          Report and analysis of financial information for management and Board of Directors

-          Be familiar with individual program contracts and ensure that all financial requirements are implemented and executed

-          Accountable for the preparation and review of all schedules for the annual audit and any government or third party audits

-          Liaise with Agency Management team as required

-          Provide technical support to payroll, accounts payable and accounts receivable

-          Review all agreements with funders and other contracts

-          Research grant opportunities and apply for grants  

Qualifications:

-          Canadian Chartered Professional Accountant

-          Experience with not for profit organizations considered an asset

-          A minimum three years’ experience

-          Excellent interpersonal skills, communication and organizational skills

-          Strong verbal and written communication skills

-          An understanding of facilities (i.e. leases, maintenance schedules etc.)

-          Excellent computer skills
