FINANCE MANAGER

Reporting to the Executive Director, leading a team of 5 and as a member of the Senior Management Team, the role is responsible for policy, compliance and the preparation and management of: 

  • Team building
  • Payroll
  • All financial and accounting systems and procedures including:
    • Client trust accounts
    • Budgeting and forecasting
    • Oversight for Accounts Payable and Accounts Receivable
    • Statutory and contract compliance and reporting
    • Annual Audit preparation
    • Reports including monthly, quarterly and annual to the Management Team, Finance and Audit Committee and the Board
    • Finance policies

  Skills and Experience Required: You have at least 5 years experience in managing the financial performance of an organization providing multiple programs or services and are able to demonstrate the ability to plan, prioritize and achieve performance goals.  You are a CPA and have:

  • A commitment to team building and motivating staff
  • Experience with Navision which is preferred but not required
  • Experience with payroll and compensation systems such as Ceridian’s DayForce
  • Experience in a non profit organization which is preferred but not required
  • Strong analytical skills so that we can utilize data to drive decision making
  • Strategic thinking skills so that we have alignment between the Finance Department, Service Delivery Programs, HR, Social Enterprises and Administration.
