Chief Financial Officer

The CFO position is accountable for all the accounting operations of the company and the mutual funds it manages, to include the production of periodic and annual financial reports, maintenance of an adequate system of accounting records, and a comprehensive set of controls and budgets designed to mitigate risk, enhance the accuracy of the company's reported financial results, and ensure that reported results comply with IFRS.

Planning

• Assist in formulating the company's future direction and supporting tactical initiatives

• Monitor and direct the implementation of strategic business plans

• Develop performance measures that support the company's strategic direction

   

Operations

• Participate in key decisions as a member of the executive management team

• Maintain in-depth relations with all members of the management team

• Perform/manage the accounting, payables, receivable, human resources, payroll, tax and treasury roles

Financial Information

• Prepare financial information, for the Corporation and the Mutual funds it manages

• File the Annual and semi-annual Financial statements with the Regulator

• Prepare the annual Prospectus and Offering Memorandums for the Mutual Funds

• Complete the tax returns (GST and Income) and all tax related filings for the Mutual funds and Corporation

• Report financial results to the board of directors

Third Parties

• Liaison with the Auditors and Lawyers

• Liaison with the Security regulators

• Maintain banking relationships

Desired Qualifications

• Chartered Professional Accountant

• Investment Industry Experience >5years

• Strong background in process design and Implementation

• Expertise in managing internal controls
