POSITION SUMMARY

Reporting to the CFO, this position is responsible for managing operational accounting functions including:  accounts receivable, accounts payable, project accounting, inventory costing and treasury. This position will ensure accurate and timely processing of financial transactions, control procedures and reporting to assist the company in effective transaction management and decision-making.  This position works closely with the financial leadership team to ensure a collaborative and supportive approach to the achievement of the team’s goals and objectives.

KEY ACCOUNTABILTIES

  • Management of operational accounting functions including: accounts receivable, accounts payable, project accounting, inventory costing and treasury.
  • Manage the operational accounting team (AP Coordinator, AR Coordinator, Operational Accountant), including hiring, training, and coaching, as well as discipline as required
  • Ensure processes are designed and operating in a controlled and efficient manner, providing excellent services to internal and external customers
  • Identify and implement process improvements
  • Review and prepare various periodic and ad hoc reports
  • Support corporate financial requirements by assisting with: month end close, budgets, audit, ERP management and other requirements that may arise from time to time

EDUCATION / EXPERIENCE

The following are required:

  • CPA with 5-10 years of experience with progressive leadership responsibilities
  • Experience supervising financial professional and clerical staff
  • Experience with Visual 8 (or other ERP) as well as MS Office Suite
  • Solid understanding of accounting standards and controls
