ZAMBIA | Pro Bono Accountant | Supporting School Communities with Sustainable Agriculture | 3 Weeks
Based in Zambian capital, Lusaka, our partner works to support school and college communities using their land creatively to produce a diverse range of nutritious food and other useful products. They are seeking the help of an Accountant to provide training and support to their new Accountant for 3 weeks+.
The programme provides residential training to the teachers and farmers in agro-ecology techniques, participatory implementation of productive and multi-purpose landscapes in school and monitoring system.
The organisation have requested support to their established programme in Zambia, where they are in the process of recruiting a new, full-time Accountant. The Regional Facilitator has requested support to help the new Accountant settle in and provide coaching as necessary.
As part of your role as the second volunteer, you will be reviewing their progress in using recommendations in tax procedures and budget preparation and offering further training as necessary. The partner would also benefit from a review of the financial sustainability of programmes and donor funding.
