CAMBODIA | Social Enterprise Empowering Female Entrepreneurs | 2 Months+

Our partner is an innovative start-up, working to support female entrepreneurs by providing business training, mentoring and ongoing support to help their business scale and create social and economic impact. The organisation would like the support of a Pro Bono Accountant to provide training to financial staff and strategy support to management staff.

Their income is very project based and they have found it hard to keep operational and project budgets so they would like to transition to a simpler system which still offers transparency.

You will be reviewing their progress since the last AfID volunteer placement and providing further training for the Finance Officer and Programs team.  The Program Mangers and Senior Team would also benefit from training on strategy, financial planning and budgeting.  In addition you may also have opportunity to visit some of the small businesses and provide direct assistance and mentoring.

This voluntary assignment is a great opportunity for accountants thinking about a career break or transitioning into a career in international development to gain insight and valuable experience in just a couple of months.

To express your interest in this role or explore other volunteering opportunities in Africa, Asia or South America, please email your CV and cover letter to AfID and visit the Accounting for International Development website
