LAOS | Volunteer Accountant for Children’s Healthcare Organisation I 1-2 months

Based in Luang Pabang, famous for its unique and well preserved architectural, religious and cultural heritage, our partner is a newly established paediatric hospital, offering free medical care and health education to children in Laos, and is the only hospital in northern Laos offering neonatal services and life-saving care for newborn babies.

The hospital has a strong emphasis on education, working with family members of the patients on topics such a nutrition, vaccinations, breastfeeding support, oral health, family planning and disease prevention.

They recently started using a new accounting system and are seeking the support of a volunteer to review its use.

Your Role

You will be the first volunteer on assignment at the organisation, and your role will be to undertake a review of their accounting & financial management controls, procedures and systems, making and implementing recommendations for best practice based on the complexity of their accounting, resources available to them and skillset of local staff.
