The Legislative Assembly Office is searching for an individual with strong attention to detail, knowledge of financial best practices and a strong client orientation to join our team of Accounting Assistants. In this role you will support the full accounting cycle and ensure that financial transactions are in compliance and processed accurately. You will use your excellent interpersonal and communication skills, supported by tact and diplomacy, to establish relationships with clients and ensure that their needs are met in a timely manner. Knowledge of core functions such as accounts payable, accounts receivable and audit processes, coupled with a familiarity with policy interpretation and application is required. Analytical and problem-solving abilities and exceptional judgment will be key in consulting with your portfolio of clients.
In-depth knowledge of accounting principles obtained through the completion of postsecondary education in a related field in addition to two years of directly related accounting experience is essential. Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite is required and experience using Dynamics GP is an asset.
Salary range for this position is $46,932 to $62,544, dependent on qualifications, and a comprehensive benefits package is available.
