The Opportunity - Are you looking for an opportunity to take an organization to the next level? Do you have a strong sales background in the food industry? Would you relish a business development opportunity to expand and grow an established and successful business? As the CEO, and under your leadership, you will be positioned to grow UniPac to new vertical markets, levels of service and excellence; You will be responsible for the overall operational leadership of the organization ensuring the achievement of the strategic objectives as directed by the UniPac's ownership group. The key responsibility of the CEO is to grow the business, increase market penetration and sales, and develop new products and markets and lead and motivate our team. The CEO will establish, nurture, and maintain positive relationships with customers and vendors and oversee all operational aspects of the company. As the CEO, you will ensure the achievement of operational business objectives, seize business development and marketing opportunities, establish and monitor performance measurements, and oversee management and financial controls.The position will be located in Edmonton and will be expected to travel..

Qualifications: Are you a team oriented leader? Do you achieve goals through collaborative relationships? Do you have a talent for marketing and sales? Can you analyze financial numbers and assess risk? Have you successfully led a sales and distribution company or significant division within a company? If you have demonstrated experience in these competencies you may well be the next CEO of UniPac.As the ideal candidate you will have a business degree with preference given for an MBA combined with a minimum of 10 years of senior management and operational leadership experience in a consumer product industry with a preference for experience in the food industry. Your background will include sales, business development and marketing, and some financial expertise with a focus on achieving key operational objectives.  You relish the idea of increasing sales and overall profitability. Your experience will demonstrate your ability to build strong networks with customers, manufacturers, or suppliers/brokers or potential business partners.and your internal team. In addition you will be a strong analytical thinker who is energized by business development opportunities and financial oversight and stewardship. You understand distribution and quality control and supply chain management because you have worked in environments where this was paramount. You will also be an effective and transparent communicator who is seen as pragmatic, resourceful, and has a high degree of personal integrity.; You take a ;hands on approach to ensure the highest quality in customer service, and operational management. Experience reporting to and working with a board or ownership group would be considered a strong asset.
