<p><strong>Responsibilities:</strong></p> <p><strong><em>Finance</em></strong></p> <ul> <li>Strategic management of the Finance Team and general accounting functions including accounts payable, accounts receivable, point-of-sale revenue and payroll; ensuring accurate and complete records are maintained in accordance with GAAP and other regulatory requirements</li> <li>Develop and implement accounting policies of the Society</li> <li>Contribute to the development and implementation of entity policies that are consistent with the Society&rsquo;s mission, vision and core values</li> <li>Along with other members of the Senior Management Team, implement and actively support the Society&rsquo;s Strategic Plan</li> <li>Prepare monthly processes and internal financial reports; present monthly financial review to SLSRPS Finance Committee</li> <li>Complete year-end processes including: &nbsp;financial statement preparation; commodity tax and charity return filings</li> <li>Prepare annual budget and monthly budget analysis</li> <li>Actively develop, implement, monitor and support best business practices, while safeguarding the Society&rsquo;s assets</li> <li>Effectively manage cash flow position: determine cash flow needs with 90-day projections</li> <li>Supervise the Society&rsquo;s accounts payable, accounts receivable and collections</li> <li>Ensure cost analysis processes are effective and provide pertinent information to relevant reporting areas</li> <li>Public relations representative - communicate effectively and courteously with staff, members, user groups, tenants and the general public</li> <li>Be an effective, contributing member of the Senior Management Team</li> <li>Provide direct leadership, support and guidance to the functional areas of Finance, Guest Services and Payroll.</li> <li>Attend monthly SLSRPS Board of Directors&rsquo; meetings and other committee meetings, as requested</li> </ul> <p><strong><em>Business Planning</em></strong></p> <ul> <li>Provide pertinent information in the preparation of business plans, compensation packages and tax laws</li> <li>Provide pertinent costing and margin information</li> <li>Ensure business processes are efficient and effective</li> <li>Monitor and provide recommendations for business improvement</li> </ul> <p><strong><em>Administration</em></strong></p> <ul> <li>Work with Senior Management, external Auditors, lawyers, banks and government agencies on various matters including agreements, grants and filing</li> <li>Responsible for the Accounting system, ensuring that it is effectively producing accurate, reliable information &amp; reports</li> <li>Responsible for project management, as required within duties</li> </ul>
