Avery Cooper is seeking a Senior Audit Manager to join their practice immediately. RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Take direct lead and control of external assurance engagements, ensuring they are properly planned, staffed and executed
  • Manage client accounts including billing, fee analysis and new service development
  • Review the work of junior staff, assist in their career development through constructive feedback and guidance
  • Assist in the development of assurance planning strategies and supervise their implementation
  • Be a firm leader in assurance standards and reporting requirements

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Five plus years of current and/or recent financial statement audit experience within a Canadian CPA firm
  • Advanced working knowledge of Canadian ASPE and NPO Accounting Standards and related technical literature
  • Willingness and ability to travel
  • A proven track record of leading teams and garnering the respect of colleagues
  • Excellent communication skills, written and oral, required
  • A can-do attitude and commitment to excellence
