ABOUT THE OPPORTUNITY

Methanex is currently seeking a Financial Analyst to join the team in Medicine Hat on a full-time basis.

In this role, you will provide analytical and financial support for the Methanex Medicine Hat site in the form of capital cost management and reporting, forecasting and budgeting, and economic evaluations to facilitate informed business decisions and effective management of resources.

This will include a focus on financial stewardship and reputation through compliance with accounting standards, company policies and the Sarbanes-Oxley Act.

This is a temporary position with a commencement of January 2019 and an anticipated duration of approximately twenty-four months through December 2020.

In order to qualify for this role, you will have a post-secondary degree in business, economics, finance or accounting combined with two to five years of experience in a relevant accounting position(s). Demonstrated experience with fixed asset accounting, capital budgets, reporting and financial analysis is preferred, as is the completion, or current enrollment, in a professional designation program.
