Accounting Consultant - Edmonton North Primary Care Network Finance Committee

About the Opportunity

The Accounting Consultant will advise the committee on:

  •  standard practices to support financial policies and internal controls
  • evaluation of new or changing initiatives
  • risk mitigation
  • metrics to explore

 Compensation will be provided for meeting attendance, but not preparation or travel time.

Commitments

  • Estimated time required is two hours per meeting for attendance (with review of the meeting package in advance)
  • Active participation in meetings with four or five meetings taking place per year
  • Ad hoc meetings may be scheduled when necessary
  • 1 year term, with the possibility of extension

Who we are looking for

  • CPA or variant certification Knowledge of internal controls as well as nonprofit experience is necessary
  • Someone who is keen to learn more about the healthcare system and specifically, primary care
  • Someone who shares our desire to enhance the health of our communities
