Senior Manager, Tax (US)

Our client has a challenging opportunity for a Senior Manager, Tax (US) in its Corporate Tax group. This role can be based in Calgary or Edmonton. Reporting to the VP of Tax you will have responsibility for all tax planning, research and compliance in the areas of  tax. Your responsibilities will include: accurate and timely filing of US income and other statutory returns; coordination of the preparation of tax information schedules for all corporate entities requiring tax filing; provision of tax advice to the due diligence process when evaluating potential acquisitions; review of U.S. tax compliance and tax provisions;  assisting with budgeting for current and future taxes; assessment and review of tax notices of assessment and assistance with tax research and planning while establishing and maintaining strong working relationships with operations in a fast paced ever changing environment.

Successful candidates for the Senior Manager, Tax (US) position will possess a post secondary education specializing in accounting, a Canadian accounting designation (CPA) and will have 7+ years of post-designation experience preferably in a large public company. You may also have worked in the tax department of one of the ‘Big 4’ accounting firms.
