Finance and Accounting Controller

My client is privately held with operations across Canada and is expanding into the United States. In business for over 50 years, they pride themselves on providing top tier services and taking on any challenge. The role of Finance and Accounting Controller reports directly to the Corporate Controller.

Your success will be defined by your ability to:

  • Oversee the entire accounting process, including bookkeeping, transactional and full cycle accounting
  • Prepare monthly financial statements
  • Manage the budgeting and forecasting, working closely with senior leadership
  • Process the salaried payroll
  • Be accountable for ensuring adequate cash flow through close AR management
  • Ensure government remittances are accurate and timely

Your strengths include:

  • Ideally, an accounting designation or working towards (CPA, CMA, CGA, CA)
  • Strong interpersonal skills, with the ability to liaise with peers and management team
  • Leadership and people management experience
  • The ability to be a self-motivated service provider
