SUPERVISOR, ACCOUNTING

Our client is searching for an Accounting supervisor in an energy related company.

The candidate would be responsible for accounting, projects, fixed assets, and reports to the manager.

Your success will be defined by your ability to:

• Review and perform the annual capital budget ensuring projects are properly classified
• Supervise accounting projects, fixed asset including retirement obligations and spare inventory
•  Work closely with the senior management team to prepare budgets, variance analysis and cash flow reports
• Prepare and perform ongoing hoc analysis and reports based on the needs of the organization
• Responsible for monitoring the process of construction projects comparing cost incurred and accrued
• Work closely with the senior management team to prepare budgets, variance analysis and cash flow reports

Your strengths include:

• A professional accounting designation  (CPA, CMA,CGA or CA)
• Experience in IFRS
• 5+ years of experience in a similar position
• 3+ years’ experience in a lead role
• Strong attention to detail
• Strong knowledge of complex business and accounting issues and integrate this knowledge in developing solutions
• Maintain positive interpersonal relationships while ensuring that recommendations are aligned with the goals of the organization
