Your Financial Systems Analyst responsibilities:

·   Support the design, development, and maintenance of integrated financial systems and solutions.

·   Consult with clients using financial systems regarding improvement opportunities that contribute to business efficiency, enhanced financial information, optimized business processes, and the integrity of financial information.

·   Support financial system business processes by carrying out compliance functions, risk assessments, and small application development and maintenance.

·   Maintain close relationships with IT professionals, colleagues and key stakeholders on issues relating to financial systems or processes.

 

Your experience and skills:

·   University degree in Commerce or equivalent, with a focus on Management Information Systems.

·   At least 3-5 years of progressively responsible experience working with complex financial systems preferably in the insurance industry or with a financial institution.

·   Experience with automated solutions to enhance financial budgeting, forecasting, and reporting would be an asset.

·   Well-developed verbal and written communication skills, including the ability to explain complex concepts to non-technical staff.

·   Ability to learn quickly when faced with problems and ambiguity.  Strong analytical skills and creativity in identifying solutions, with proven decision making ability.

·   Advanced experience in the use of system tools including, but not limited to, macros, Visual Basic, SQL, NVision, version control software, process management, and data management techniques.

·   Experience with PeopleSoft, Lotus Notes, Cognos Metrics Manager, and or Data Warehouse would be an asset.

SALARY:     Grade 11      Start Rate:    $73,500  to           Job Rate:      $86,436
