HR Generalist

Our Cannabis Start Up Client is looking for an HR Generalist. Reporting to the COO, you will be responsible for all HR functions, payroll, recruitment, policy procedure. As the HR Generalist your responsibilities will include payroll processing, new hire orientation, facilitation of the departure process, participation in Health, Safety and Environment initiatives, online timesheet system, producing regular and ad hoc reports for HR, and creating and maintaining all necessary personnel files.  You will also be accountable for the facilitation of the recruitment process which includes applicant screening, setting up interviews, reference checks, and job postings.

The ideal candidate for this role will have a post-secondary education in Human Resources Management with 3-5+ years of directly related experience. CPHR designation is preferred and considered an asset. As the successful HR Generalist, you will have knowledge of Microsoft Office applications, confidentiality protocols, HR Practices, benefit programs, Employee Standards Code, Personal Information Protections Act, HRIS systems, and Canada Revenue Agency as it relates to payroll administration.
