Manager, Financial Planning & Analysis

Our client, located in downtown Edmonton has partnered with Robert Half Finance & Accounting in a search for a Manager, Financial Planning & Analysis.  This is an opportunity where you’ll be recognized for your contributions and can influence change.  Reporting to the Controller, the Manager, Financial Planning & Analysis will lead a team of 5 Financial Analysts and provide internal stakeholders with data driven insight to drive business performance.  The Manager, Financial Planning & Analysis will be accountable for leading the financial planning and analytics including monthly and quarterly forecasts, annual budgets, developing and maintaining models, reports and financial procedures used by the analysis group.  The Manager, Financial Planning & Analysis will be responsible for supporting business case development and ROI statements by applying IFRS to financial statements and their presentation to senior leadership. 

Qualifications include:

•  4+ years’ experience in a financial planning and analysis role

•  Accounting Designation (CPA or MBA)

•  Knowledge and familiarity with modeling activity based costing (ABC)

•  System implementation and or upgrade experience is considered an asset

•  Advanced MS Excel skills, crystal reporting and SQL are considered assets
