ConstructShieldTM is seeking a Vice-President, Finance, with an entrepreneurial spirit to provide strategic direction through detailed analysis and recommendations for its financial operations. This person will have a proven track record in the development and implementation of strategic growth plans for small to medium enterprises. Reporting to the managing partner, this role will work in partnership with the leadership team to create a clear roadmap for organizational growth, while driving measurable value and establishing core financial processes and a business plan for the organization.

Core Responsibilities:

• Develop and implement a financial business plan with clear frameworks and processes that align to the organizational growth and business development strategy
• Identify opportunities for synergy amongst core financial systems, processes and functions
• Monitor and assess cash flow, cost controls, and expenses to guide business operations
• Manage quality control of financial transactions and reporting, including development and adherence to policies, procedures and standards, as well as ensuring integrity of internal controls
• Advise leadership team on funding plans and risk management strategies
• Develop and implement a feasibility, business and operations plan for a new facility build
• Implement a cloud-based ERP software system to manage all financial reporting, sales, invoicing, purchasing, as well as inventory, manufacturing and CRM

Other Responsibilities:

• Manage and provide leadership to administrative, bookkeeping, safety and support teams including; defining scope of responsibilities and performance management activities
• Oversee accounting operations, financial reporting, budgeting and forecasting processes
• Conduct other projects and initiatives as assigned in accordance with business needs

Qualifications:

• 10+ years of extensive experience within finance and business operations
• Professional accounting designation (CPA) is required
• Experience using accounting software and ERP systems
• Broad-based knowledge within the manufacturing and construction industries is preferred
• Strong leadership skills, excellent communication skills, entrepreneurial spirit, relationship-builder
• Operates with integrity, ethics and professionalism, trusted advisor, dependable business partner
