FINANCIAL ANALYST (BILINGUAL) – OAKVILLE, ONTARIO

In this role you will be responsible for the financial support of our North America portfolio within the greater Oakville Ontario & Montreal, Quebec in partnership with the operations leaders and as part of the regional finance team and associated operations.

Partnering with operations to deliver regional growth and execution

1.       Financial support for the North America Projects business unit (Annual sales: $300MM) to include: monthly financial closing; estimates; variance analysis; financial reporting and account reconciliations

2.       Partner with operating management teams on a proactive basis to provide insight and support in decision making when driving financial commitments, productivity and simplification initiatives within the business units (60% Projects, 30% Products & 10% Supply Chain oversight)

3.       Drive simplification initiatives to streamline routines and procedures and drive overall process improvement within the role

4.       Help commercial and operations to build deal strategy and properly structure complex deals 

5.       Ensure controllership and consistency of accounting process across the operations, including proper application of global revenue recognition policy and order recognition policy

6.       Strive for process simplification and harmonization of our global financial procedures

      7.   North America SG&A cost review and analytics 

 

QUALIFICATIONS

1.       Bachelor’s degree in finance, accounting or equivalent, or MBA (or equivalent)
2.       Minimum of 5 years Finance/Account Experience
3.       Proven experience to work across functional teams (operations, controllership, legal, HR)
4.       Prior lead or partnership with an Operational business leader
5.       Some travel required within Quebec, Ontario & US
6.       Bi-lingual (French & English)

3.       Strong analytical, organizational, and problem solving skills
4.       Proven track record of adapting to change
5.       FP&A experience strongly preferred
6.       Excellent oral and written communication skills
7.       Previous project finance experience is preferred
8.       Certified Public Accountant, CGA or CMA
9.       Experience with SAP ERP system.
10. Advanced Skills using of Microsoft Office Suite of products
