Manager, Treasury Operations

This management position is responsible for overseeing a team of 20 that work within the middle and back-office operations of the organization. In addition to providing support for the day to day activities of the department, including incoming payments and ongoing disbursements, this individual will also be responsible for developing and implementing policies, controls and procedures in order to manage and mitigate risk and fraud. The Manager, Treasury Operations will also actively participate in the strategic direction of their department, ensuring alignment with the organization's corporate vision, and will be responsible for building and maintaining excellent internal and external relationships. Finally they will be the primary liaison with financial institutions to escalate and resolve relevant issues. The ideal candidate for the role of Manager, Treasury Operations will possess a background and understanding of financial institutions. In addition they will have excellent interpersonal skills, and will have a proven record of successfully building and developing meaningful relationships with individuals internal and external to an organization. They will have a customer-focused approach, be detail-oriented, and possess strong written and oral communication skills. They will also be someone who thrives in a fast-paced and dynamic environment, with proven leadership and management skills. Furthermore, the ideal candidate will hold a Commerce degree and possess a background in Finance, Treasury or Investment Banking, with an understanding of back and middle office banking operations. Having knowledge and understanding of cash management, treasury and accounting, and holding a CTP (Certified Treasury Professional), CAMS (Certified Anti-Money Laundering Specialist), CFA (Chartered Financial Analyst) and/or CPA (Chartered Professional Accountant) designation will be considered an asset.
