Description of Charity/Foundation:
The Instrumental Society of Calgary has been producing and staging very high quality classical and modern chamber music concerts in Calgary for almost 40 years. We produce 8 regular season concerts per concert season between October and May, and also have an Education & Outreach series. These concerts feature the very best of the professional musicians available in the Calgary area.
Description of Role:
Society/Corporate Secretary: This is a Board of Directors voting position. You would be responsible for attending and taking Minutes at all of our Board meetings, and managing our GoogleDrive electronic filing system. In addition you would manage our on-line email communications and account with GoDaddy. Good organizational ability, computer skills, and people skills in communications with other directors are essential. You would be able to attend all of our concerts with 2 additional guests throughout the concert season. A good sense of corporate governance is required.
CPA, CGA, CMA or equivalent preferred.
It helps immensely if you are truly interested in this music ; you don’t have to have musical accomplishments, you just have to like it a lot!
